Hey There!

I'm Kevin, and you probably just pictured Catherine O'Hara screaming that on an airplane or at Miami International Airport. I’m a Chicago-based designer and design leader specializing in product design with a focus on scalable design systems. Whether you’re evolving an established system or building one from the ground up, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

For nearly 12 years at Ulta Beauty, I led the inception of UI/UX work and ultimately became the steward of the Palette Design System, shaping the digital experience and aligning teams around reusable patterns and governance.

Before that, I cut my teeth as a Digital Art Director for a number of radio stations and as a Web Designer at Optimum Nutrition. My background in print (BFA, The Illinois Institute of Art) taught me the power of precision, and I’ve been lucky to have had hybrid design/development roles over the years to better inform my design work from a technical perspective.

I’m currently exploring new opportunities to bring my expertise in design systems, product design, and cross-functional leadership to teams where I can contribute to a culture of collaboration and creativity. Design solves problems, no matter the medium. That’s what I do, and with any luck, what I’ll always do.
